Through the split view feature in iPadOS, you can conduct and view a FaceTime video call while engaged in other activities on the iPad.

Caller ID on FaceTime works just like caller ID on a regular phone call. You can choose the email address or phone number you want displayed when you call that person via FaceTime. To set your caller ID info, go to Settings  ⇒  FaceTime and, under Caller ID, tap the phone number or email address you want to use.
